Tour day: Monday
Visit “Villa a Dentro”, the historical part of Faro within the old city walls, with its views of the Ria Formosa nature reserve. Originally an important Roman port, Faro is currently the largest city in the Algarve and has been the regional capital since 1756. The tour allows free time for shopping in the commercial area. Alternatively, you can use the time to visit the 13th century cathedral, the Catedral Sé, soak in the architecture of the Episcopal Palace and Seminary opposite, then wander about 500 metres through the interesting city streets to the Regional Ethnographic Museum.
